I'm a lover of words, and I'm passionate about editing. There is nothing more satisfying than taking an author's beautifully-crafted masterpiece and helping to breathe life into the worlds they have bled onto the pages. To dissect each word, firmly but constructively, and help to create perfection, from the very first page.

I pride myself on being extremely detail-oriented. I have a keen eye for not only taking care of spelling, grammar, and punctuation, but also being able to manipulate sentence structure to make that already bubbling brook become a raging river.

I treat my author's book baby with care. Consider me the proud Auntie, who wants nothing more than the absolute best for those amazing words. Trusting me with your manuscript is an honor I do not take lightly, and it's a privilege to be able to play a small role in your creative process.
When I'm not editing, I'm either reading, binge-watching my favorite shows on Netflix, playing video games, stalking my beloved authors, or hanging out with my two adorable children and our dog who thinks she's human.

I offer a wide range of services, while aiming to remain competitive and affordable. I strive to make each author's manuscript the absolute best it can be, and place a little bit of my heart and soul into each page. I am honored to be a part of your journey through this incredible writing world.

I provide a complimentary sample edit, so you can see how I work, and determine if my style fits yours. Through this sample, I will also be able to see your writing style. I accept manuscripts through Microsoft Word, so I can utilize track changes so you are able to see every comment, change, and suggestion offered, and you are able to determine which ones you would like to keep. While it is my intention to provide you with a perfect finished product, it remains the responsibility of the author how the final document will read, and all authors are encouraged to do a final read through before clicking that publish button.

Copy Editing
.006 per word (ex. 60,000 words - $360)

This is a combination of both content and line editing. I will read your manuscript, line by line, word by word, making sure the story flows, is consistent, is not repetitious, and all the in between. I will offer suggestions and sentence rewrites (if necessary), which aim to make your manuscript that much better. I'm also guilty of telling you when scenes make me laugh, cry, etc. because I believe an author should know how his or her words affect the reader at those points in the story. This includes a two pass edit, and I will be looking for the following: Overall consistency, word choice, spelling, punctuation, grammar, fact checking, verb tenses (past versus present), phrasing, overall flow, sentence structure, and character development. The first read through will focus on potential rewrites that typically happen during the first edit, and the second read through will focus on perfecting those sneaky bits that might have been overlooked in that first read. It is my goal to present you with a virtually perfect finished product.
Developmental Editing
.009 per word (ex. 60,000 words - $540)

Developmental editing is a recommended service for new authors, or authors who may require assistance with vision, plot, style, character development, and the like. This option is a three pass edit, which includes everything in a copy edit, but also setting, characterization and voice, order of scenes, plot strengths, and discussing different elements of the story.
Proofreading
.004 per word (ex. 60,000 words - $240)

This option is great for those who have already gone through the editing process, or who simply need an extra set of eyes for that final run before hitting that pretty publish button. This is one pass, which focuses on grammar, spelling, flow, sentence structure, verb usage, and punctuation.
Blurbs
Hate to draft those pesky blurbs? Those "let's include all the important things without giving anything away, but it has to draw in readers...and fit on the back of a book" pieces that you hate to love (or love to hate). I happen to love them - both drafting and editing them - so let me make your life easier!
Blurb drafting: $50 ($25, if booked with an edit or proofread)
Blurb editing: $25 (included, if booked with an edit or proofread)
Synopsis edit (for submission to publishers): $20
